Werewolf Wednesday #5: The Howling (1981)! This movie was delightful and absolutely took us by surprise! The humour is very tongue-in-cheek (considered “semi-humourous” and full of so many subtle goofy wolf-related props) and the visual effects/make-up has aged wonderfully.
I love that the werewolves’ size and teeth make them feel similar to the Xenomorph from Alien (1979), and the use of air bladders as a practical effect during the transformation scenes was really unique and gross!

😍👌 Also, fun fact: The Howling apparently exists in the same universe as Gremlins (1984)! Highly recommended, this was one of our top favourite werewolf films so far!
